Can I defer or withdraw my application?

If you need to defer taking the assignments let us know as soon as you can:

• If we receive your notification before the Friday four weeks before the Friday of a set weekend, you can defer but you will need to pay an administration fee.
• If we receive your notification on or after the Friday four weeks before the Friday of a set weekend, you will forfeit your application fee.
• If you don’t notify us your unreturned paper will be marked as a fail and you will forfeit your application fee.

If you defer, please remember that you must complete your specialist accreditation within three years of first round application.

Sometimes we must increase the fees for accreditation. If this happens between the assessment round when you applied and the round when you undertake the assessment, you must pay the difference.

Any deferral is subject to the discretion of the Specialist Accreditation Committee.
