What happens if I take a career break after I’ve passed my accreditation?
You can take a career break, for whatever reason, for up to two years without losing your accredited status on the following basis:
- You remain an associate member for the duration of the career break.
- You do not hold yourself out to the public as an Accredited Specialist for the duration of the career break.
- At the end of the two years, you confirm you are returning to a caseload in your specialist areas of practice and confirm your intention to resume your CPD or learning and development requirements.
If you are unable to satisfy these criteria because of extenuating circumstances, please contact us.
